A three phase charger can deliver up to 22kW, around three times a standard home unit. For a van doing a full day of mileage, that is the difference between a full charge over lunch and one overnight. The vehicle has to accept it too.

Most houses are single phase. Most commercial units and some larger properties have three. The main fuse and the meter tell us straight away. Where three phase is not there, the network operator can sometimes bring it in, though that takes time and money.
Loading one phase heavily and leaving the others idle causes voltage problems and wastes capacity. We spread the chargers and the existing site load evenly across all three. Where several units share a supply, load management keeps the total inside the main fuse rating.
Three phase work needs the supply understood before anything is quoted, which is why we start at the incoming fuse and the meter rather than the parking bay. We install, balance and test the circuits and hand over full certification. Fleet sites can be staged so vehicles keep charging while we work.

Only if the property already has a three phase supply, which most houses do not. Bringing one in means an application to the network operator, groundwork and a new meter. For most homes a 7kW single phase unit charges overnight perfectly well.
Only if the vehicle has a three phase onboard charger. Many electric vans and some cars do, and they will pull the full 11kW or 22kW. A single phase vehicle plugged into a three phase unit still charges at its own limit, usually around 7kW.
The charger itself is not much bigger, but the supply side needs room. Expect a larger isolator, heavier cable and often a separate distribution board. On fleet sites a feeder pillar runs several bays from one point, which saves space overall.
